Telesis Preparatory Academy hosted the annual Wave Hendricks Invitational Soccer Tournament on Saturday, March 28 for the second consecutive year. Six teams competed for the championship title and Telesis went 2 – 2 which earned the Telesis Tigers a spot in the consolation game on April 21^st. However, at the end of the day, Quartzsite took home the trophy with a perfect 5 - 0 due to a team whose members have been together since they were very young according to the Quartzsite Head Coach. The soccer tournament is dedicated to the memory of Telesis Team Member and Director of Operations Wave Hendricks, who lost her life to cancer in February 2007.
